Why we built this

Background screening in South Africa was too slow, too opaque, and too inconsistent. Employers were waiting weeks for results with no visibility into progress. Reports arrived as raw data dumps with no guidance on what they meant for an actual hiring decision.

Candidates were left in the dark. Employers were left exposed. And the process itself placed the burden of compliance entirely on businesses that lacked the time, expertise, or systems to carry it properly.

PVB Group was founded to fix that. We built a process around clear timelines, direct verification against primary sources, and reports designed for a hiring manager — not a lawyer. Every check we run is conducted with candidate consent, delivered with context, and backed by a paper trail that holds up.

We are headquartered in Rustenburg and serve clients across South Africa in sectors where trust matters most: financial services, healthcare, logistics, retail, and professional services.
